The venue for our vintage Art Deco engagement soiree was a stunning historic mansion with ornate details and grand rooms. The mansion was decorated with luxurious velvet furniture, glistening crystal chandeliers, and playful accents of gold and black to add the perfect touch of glamour. The venue also had a beautiful outdoor atrium where guests could enjoy fresh air and the scenic views.
The decor for our engagement soiree was inspired by the Art Deco era, which was known for its geometric shapes, bold colors, and ornate patterns. To achieve this theme, we used accents of gold and black throughout the venue, unique art deco mirrors on the walls, and elegant table settings with black and gold flatware, and crystal glasses. We also incorporated vintage items such as a phonograph and a vintage typewriter to add a touch of nostalgia to the event. Each table had beautiful floral arrangements with deep red and purple blooms, which added a pop of color to the black and gold decor.
We wanted to incorporate vintage elements into the food, so we decided on a classic menu with modern twists. The appetizers included a charcuterie board with a variety of cured meats, artisan cheeses, and pickled vegetables. We also had mini crab cakes, bacon-wrapped scallops, and a fun twist on pigs in a blanket – made with artisan sausage. For the entree, we served steak with a red wine reduction sauce, grilled vegetables, and mashed potatoes. For those who preferred a vegetarian option, we served a delicious mushroom wellington. Dessert was a beautiful cake designed with an art deco pattern in black and gold frosting. We also had a dessert table with an assortment of mini desserts, such as macarons and mini fruit tarts, to offer guests a variety of sweet options.
To keep our guests entertained throughout the evening, we had a fun mix of classic and modern entertainment. We had a jazz quartet playing old-time classics during cocktail hour, and a DJ playing modern music later in the evening. We also had a photo booth with fun props and backdrops for guests to take photos throughout the night. As a nod to the Art Deco era, we had a Charleston dance performance as well, which had everyone clapping and cheering. To end the night, we had a sparkler send-off for the newly engaged couple, which was a beautiful and romantic way to cap off the evening.
Our vintage Art Deco engagement soiree was a magical and memorable night for everyone who attended. The stunning venue, beautiful decor, delicious food, and entertaining activities made for a truly special event. The memories of the night will live on forever and will always be a cherished part of the couple's love story.
